Our Past
The Pittsburgh LGBTQ+ Tigers were founded in 2012 with the goal of providing a safe, queer-friendly space for local LGBTQ+ players. We have continuously played in local leagues and international LGBTQ+ tournaments since then, even winning a few!
We aim to foster an inclusive and comfortable environment for all. We play in leagues in the local area, participate in travel tournaments across North America, get together to watch games, and simply love the game of hockey. We're always looking for more players, fans, and allies to join us!

Pittsburgh LGBTQ+ Hockey hopes to continue to grow the sport and create safe spaces for local LGBTQ+ players to enjoy hockey. We've added a second team, host skill clinics, and offer family-friendly community open skates. If you're interested in hanging out with us, subscribe to our mailing list!
