LEARN TO PLAY:
Beginner Hockey Clinic
If you have ever wanted to learn to play hockey, this is your chance! Our coaches run beginner drills and will sometimes run a beginner scrimmage. This is geared toward people who feel comfortable on skates and want to try out playing hockey or current players who want to work on their basic skills.
Skate rental will be available for a small fee. We do not charge for the session, but a $15-20 suggested donation is always appreciated. Please RSVP ahead of time here; loaner gear can also be requested through the same form. If you have any questions, please check out our FAQ section or send us an email.
Play Hockey with Us!
We have two teams, both of which play at the UPMC Lemieux rink in Cranberry: the Tigers play in a D level, and our beginner-friendly TigerSharks team plays in the E league. New seasons start every few months. Please let us know if you are interested in joining a roster! We also run a monthly scrimmage group for players who can safely participate in game situations. Sign up for our June scrimmage here. If you're unsure if you're ready for a scrimmage, shoot us an email!
Tournaments
Team Pittsburgh tries to represent black and gold in many international LGBTQ tournaments. We regularly play in the Eastern Canada Cup in Montréal and Toronto, and our players have traveled for tournaments in Madison, Seattle, Halifax, and NYC among others!
